So here’s a question of the day: do you know the difference between being a light in a dark place and being in a dark place in the light? Cause there’s a huge difference.
Think about a time you were in a dark place (emotionally) and someone came to you and it helped you tremendously. See? They brightened up your darkness. Have you ever been considered a light? Do you dwell in the Love and you’re just in a dark place? And the the cycle goes round and round.
Here’s a little fact for ya: light travels at 186,262 miles per second. Light can reach the face of every person, every blade of grass, every thing living quicker than a hiccup. Humans, animals, and plants all need light to live. We, non-Christians too, need the Light.
Now, consider yourself a light. Every person you look upon, smile at, talk to, comment back to, or even every post you post will show the Jesus that lives inside.
In John 9:5, Jesus said “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Jesus is in us, we are in the world, therefore light is in the world. We’ve been given the gift of light. The darkness of every part of this earth is and will be overcome by the Light in us.
One stumbles in the darkness because the Light is not in him. Don’t be overcome by darkness, but delight in the glory of the Lord.
Why does joy come in the morning? Because the sun trades places with the moon and light takes over the black sky. Take on the world in truth. Don’t provoke darkness, but delight in…well, the light.
Verse: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8
